brilliant piece. exactly how i feel. stop vilifying the makers for simplifying the issue or accusing them of being neocolonialist.
at the most basic level: it’s generating a wide base of awareness, which is key in stopping any injustice and bringing anyone to justice.

Awareness and education are key to action. If no one raises awareness no one will know about the situation. Yes, the video simplified the situation but it had to be simplified to be understood.

It has been over 20 years, over 30,000 children affected and it is time for Joseph Kony to be found, arrested, and put on trial for his crimes. Kony and the LRA need to be stopped and children need their lives back.
Children are stolen from their beds at night. Girls are forced into sexual slavery and boys as young as 5 years old are forced to carry guns and be soldiers.
2012 is the year the Kony needs to be stopped.
